`Info about this location //The Basco River was named such because Basco was the last name of the old, deceased mayor. He used to come out here on the weekends and his vacations to fish and find peace from the politics that always seemed to have him in a knot when he was at work. Some say if he could have done it, he would have traded his job in to be a simple fisher. However, his family depended on his money—so he didn’t.
The river is moderately sized—rather large and about six feet deep towards its center, but the other shore is still visible. The current is soft and gentle towards the shores, and gets a bit stronger at it’s center. Up the river, towards the city and the fields, the current—at its strongest—is still gentle enough that a normal human won’t drown.
However, as you work your way down the river, the current gets a big stronger—turning into gushing rapids. Of course, you’d have to be a long while down the river to encounter them. The rapids never fully turn into a waterfall, but they’re still fun—and dangerous—to travel through.
People may come here to fish or swim, sometimes to raft their way down the rapids all the way to the lake. Animals and shape-shifters may come here for the same reasons.
Beware the river at night, though—nocturnal predators do need water too. [/blockquote][/size]
